As the summer season approaches, we are excited for the busy travel months and the increased guest travel to your hotels. As you prepare for the upcoming busy period, we would like to let you know about a few things we have been doing that will help you optimize your operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
First and foremost, we understand the importance of being able to effectively manage the rates at your hotel during busy travel times. With increased demand and competition during the summer travel season, it is important to ensure that your rates are set correctly and you have the ability to respond quickly when they need to be adjusted.
Chorum recently released a new revenue management module in our Jonas Chorum PMS mobile app that will allow you to easily see rates and occupancy and make any adjustments you need right from your phone. Our hope is that by providing access to rate management on your phone you will have the ability to better manage your pricing and obtain the perfect balance of increased occupancy and profitability.
Additionally, we understand that with today’s workforce and staff shortages, it can be difficult to efficiently maintain the high level of cleanliness your guest expect when staying with you. To help you with these challenges we will soon be releasing updates to the housekeeping module in the Jonas Chorum PMS mobile app that will allow you to more easily manage housekeeping room assignments from your phone.
Giving access to housekeeping functionality from the mobile app will help streamline your housekeeping processes and drive quicker room turnover during the busy travel season.
Finally, we want to let you know that Chorum will be attending HITEC this June in Toronto. HITEC is the world’s largest hospitality technology conference and is an excellent event to showcase our existing technology solutions. In addition to our existing solutions, it is also an excellent time for us to present new technology solutions we are working on, including a new Customer Data Platform. Our new Customer Data Platform will create unique guest profiles across an entire portfolio, with profile de-duplication and merge functionality, guest itineraries, all with real-time API access to this data.
We are very excited about the benefits this platform will provide for our users and would love for you to stop by our booth to hear about it if you plan on attending.

The revenue management modules from Chorum PMS are now available in our mobile app. Daily Rate Manager in Chorum Mobile PSM allows hotels to optimize and manage their rate plans from anywhere.
See real-time revenue data and make decisions and updates to your rates on the go. The app syncs with your CRS to push out any changes immediately to both direct and indirect channels.
PRODUCT UPDATES
Updates to Chorum PMS and Chorum Mobile in the last quarter include:
Groups:
- Enhancements to group and block management, including a reminder to return blocks to a group as well as additional safeguards if dates fall outside pre-set group dates
Guest profile management:
- VIP codes now appear in multiple places throughout Chorum PMS, making it easier to recognize VIP guests wherever a user is in the system
- New search parameters to the Find Guest search: find guests by email, phone number, and VIP code
Housekeeping:
- Staff mobile app now has housekeeping assignment functionality, allowing supervisors to manually or automatically assign staff to rooms needing service on their mobile device
Reports & Records:
- Add a BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) to Confirmation & Folio emails, allowing you to keep a digital record
- Ability to search Credit Card Capture Report by business date
- New Report: Arrival/Stayovers/Departures, from which you can view all arrivals, stayovers, and departures on a given date. This report can be added to Saved Reports, and can be filtered by either housekeeping zones or room number ranges.
Rate management:
- For hotels using occupancy-based tiering: Daily Rate Manager now displays base rate alongside the current tier rate; the pop-up rate editor now also shows tier rate as well
