Glacier International Lodge, nestled in the scenic town of Kalispell, MT, offers a unique blend of convenience and natural beauty. They are just two minutes from the airport and adjacent to Glacier National Park, serving as a gateway for leisure travelers and corporate guests. They recently deflagged from their previous brand, reopening as an independent hotel. This change meant the hotel needed a new property management system to improve operational efficiency and deliver personalized guest experiences.
We spoke with Holly Dumay, General Manager at the Lodge, about her experience onboarding and using Jonas Chorum’s technology to manage and market her hotel. She has been at the hotel for over 3 years and comes to it with extensive hospitality experience. Based on her experience, she knew just how important it was to implement an intuitive, fully featured property management system.
“Your PMS is the core of your property! Switching PMS’ is a big project for any hotel, but the team at Jonas Chorum made it easy,” explains Holly. “They were reliable, punctual, and had amazing communication throughout. What’s more, their new system gives their staff more time to focus on the guests in front of them. They have set up automated guest communications that answer frequently asked questions, cutting down on front desk calls.
Innovative and reliable
Glacier International Lodge was previously using an on-premise, server-based property management system.
“The performance of an on-premise PMS is based on how well the server is maintained and programmed, its bandwidth and storage. Chorum PMS is so reliable we don’t have these concerns. And we’re saving time with automated audits that are archived in the software, saving paper and storage as well.”
A cloud-based PMS also means that the hotel is consistently using the most up-to-date version possible. Our system is updated, to ensure stability, and security, and to roll out customer-requested updates regularly. New interfaces and integrations are easy for hotels to request and add to their system with our integration engine, Jonas ARC.
They recently expanded their guest messaging capabilities to include SMS messages, streamlining their guest communication and getting key policy and stay information out to every guest on their communication channel of choice.
