We have flown through Q3 and before we know it winter will be at our doorstep.
I’ve been thinking quite a bit on how to help our customers add more revenue to their hotels and drive more value for their clients. Well, Chorum POS could be ONE area of opportunity to do just that. If you already have an on-site store, concession stand, or restaurant, we can help you drive more revenue using our Chorum POS that feeds directly into your Chorum PMS. It is essential to consolidate and optimize areas of business management through multiple channels while using this critical source of information for further analysis and decision-making.
With the POS tied into your PMS, you can collect guests’ orders and purchases from different points of sale and charge directly to their room. This will allow you to gain a better understanding of REVPAR (Revenue per Available Room) and REVPAG (Revenue per Available Guest). Understanding these key metrics will allow you to serve your guests more personally in the future which will enable creating a stellar guest journey for everyone that stays at your hotel.
As we are now in full swing moving away from summer, it might be time to think about adding multiple sources of revenue to your property and getting the most out of your bottom line. - The option to make it mandatory for users to select which Station they are using at login
- Enhancements to reporting:
- Tax Exempt Report can now show cancellations and no shows; Exemptions can also now be grouped by Reason or Rate
- More flexibility in how “Other Revenue” is configured for all Accounting reports that show this sum
- Set the date for Saved Reports to a specific day of the month for Reservation Forecast, Department Audit, with more to come
- Daily Activity Report can now consolidate Room Revenue into a single line
- Automatically send Group Rooming List to designated users via email
- Safeguard Routing logic: when changing the dates of a Reservation with a Guest Routing plan the system will update routing dates or provide an alert if relevant
- Include out of order rooms in the occupancy calculation to close a Rate Code, if configured in the rules for that rate

The University Club of Washington DC is where “history and luxury collide” for the last 120 years!
As a private members club, they have 59 rooms available exclusively to members and members of reciprocal clubs. While they aren’t open to the general public, they still operate similarly to a typical hotel. And they need to keep their members happy.
